Interface to a variety of goods – Neckermann NL banks on Tradebyte

nl.neckermannSafely and quickly opening up external product ranges – that was the key requirement for the complete revision of the nl.neckermann.com platform. With this in mind, a standardised interface to the Tradebyte ecosystem was created which enabled quick and scalable access to all the vendors in the Tradebyte pool. As a pilot partner, Melvinsi Fashion went live with Tradebyte in July 2015 – the partner programme will be further expanded in cooperation with Tradebyte.

Neckermann NL recognised the signs of the times and, within the framework of the new start at the end of 2014, it completely modernised the platform to provide access for external product ranges and suppliers. As one of the biggest e-commerce companies in the Benelux countries, it was and is vital for the new investor and the new management team that the platform was state-of-the-art. An important step is the new cooperation with the marketplace specialist Tradebyte. With its standardised and fully automatic processes for connecting suppliers via drop-shipping, Tradebyte meets the demands and requirements of the new online shop exactly. Bob Nijk, CEO at nl.neckermann.com, says: “The highly scalable solution from Tradebyte now makes it possible to offer even more product range competence for our end-consumers and through that we increase customer loyalty.” After going live with Melvinsi Fashion as the pilot partner of Tradebyte in July 2015, Neckermann NL has strengthened the platform with 20 other sales partners. A further expansion of the partner programme with Tradebyte is planned for the coming months.

With its long tradition, Neckermann NL is a constant in the Benelux region. It has an enormously strong brand and its customer database of more than 600,000 customers is almost legendary. The product range includes more than 150,000 articles for their customers who are predominantly female at 71%. With more than 5,000,000 site visits per month, nl.neckermann.com ranks 7th in brand recognition in the Netherlands and surpasses such famous names as Amazon or the Otto Group. With this platform, which has been optimised to modern standards, Neckermann NL will continue to remain among the leaders in the area of e-commerce.
